How to install new themes in Windows Vista?

H! I wanted to install new themes on my Windows Vista. I downloaded some but when I try to install them through Personalize>Theme>Browse... and when I open the folder with the theme in it, the browser doesn't show the theme file i.e. it doesn't detect that there is a theme file however I downloaded it. How should I install the themes? The theme file type is Windows Style or something like that. Please help me.
