How do I configure the monitor of a Dell laptop so that the Windows Desktop fills all the screen?
When I enter the set up programme the text covers the whole screen. However, when I boot up Windows 2000 professional, the desktop screen only occupies about a half of the monitor. The icons and text are very small, but the Office programmes such as Word do work properly. How do I make the Windows display fill the whole monitor screen?

- Find your screen resolution settings. Toy around with it until it's good for you.
- Right click on empty part of desktop > Properties> Settings> Display. Change the resolution. 2000? you should upgrade your operating system!
- right click the desktop, choose properties then settings tab play with the slider left makes things bigger right smaller if you wreck it so bad that the display goes out, dont worry after 15 seconds if you have not confirmed the settings, they revert to original
